I can’t quite believe it but the time has come to update Max’s wardrobe, again. Another three months have flown by and his 3-6 month clothes are getting a little snug, so it’s time to kill two birds with one stone and buy him some summer threads in his new big boy size.
First stop, of course, was Mamas & Papas, my favourite shop for all things baby – I can’t tell you how happy I was when it re-opened at New Mersey Retail Park in Liverpool. It’s become customary for me to have a spree for Max each ‘season’, and it’s where I always start because it sure ain’t my go-to for basics, but it’s my chance to get some adorable, slightly more pricey, little outfits and then fill the rest of his wardrobe elsewhere.
I made the most of the Bank Holiday deals to save 25% on some of my favourites – it ends tomorrow (Monday 1st May) so if you like what you see, now’s the time to fill your basket peeps!
Khaki is totally Max’s colour, and this little linen hooded jacket is perfect for this time of year – light enough for summer but enough coverage, and the all important hood, for those chilly drizzly days.
One for the heatwave days – it might not look much on the hanger, but this navy blue cheesecloth shorts romper is a beaut. Lovely quality and a simple shape and style, with turn up detail and poppers up the front, I cannot wait to see my little blue eyes wear this on those hot summer days.
If you’ve been following From Day Dot, in particular my Instagram, you’ll probably have got the idea that I LOVE a bit of tribal style (think arrows, teepees and triangles) and am a little obsessed with cactus’, so this outfit had Max’s name written all over it. In fact, there’s a whole range of cactus and llama designs which are right up our street. There was almost too much choice but I settled on this two piece set of a mint green cactus print tee and dark grey joggers. He’s worn his last pair of M&P charcoal joggers to death so I know we’ll get loads of wear out of these, with and without the tee.
I also went for the matching reversible bucket hat, but they were out of Max’s size so I’ve ordered online along with these striped booties – I’m not keen on the thought of him wearing shoes when he can’t even walk, and socks might be a bit too stifling in the summer, so these cotton booties will hopefully be just the thing.
So if you’re in a next size up situation like Max is, or if it’s just time for a summer season update, make the most of up to 25% off and fill your boot(ies) now!
