Foxy fashion for the little one

The fox is having it’s moment it seems. It’s the cool animal of the season and I’ve thrown myself (or should I say, Max) into it whole heartedly.

We’ve already built up a nice little wardrobe of foxy fashion for Max to wear now and to grow into – there’s just something cute, fun and a little mischevious that make the fox a fabulous fit for a little boy like mine.

I’m not quite ready to have Max out of his sleepsuits and his vests and leggings just yet. I want him to stay a baby forever basically, plus if it’s not pinned together under his bum it ends up round his neck in 5 seconds flat.

But, this casual little outfit of leggings and sweater was a gift and as you can see, he pulls it off pretty well! I love the colour of the sweater and the foxy print on the leggings, it’s a comfy little number from the Ladybird range at

High street chain Peacocks has been something of a revelation since having Max. Not somewhere I’d normally consider but we’ve padded out his little wardrobe with some lovely little pieces, including this woodland creature long sleeved t-shirt including our favourite little fox!

You can always rely on Next to deliver the goods when it comes to little ones clothes. I can’t wait for Max’s little legs to grow enough to fit into this super cosy knitted dungaree set. What a cute little fox he will be!

Another favourite from Next is this smart little shirt vest with fox detail on the collar. Foxes aside, I love the print, colour and light woven fabric of this vest – the very fact that it’s a vest has won points with me, practical and cute!

Stepping up the smart factor is this little set from, yet again, Next. Another shirt vest with little mask-wearing foxes (there’s something a little sinister about this that I’m choosing to overlook) and the outfit is completed with some little chinos, a woven waistcoat and the cutest little dickie bow.

I can’t imagine Max wearing this as a vest and leggings is the most he’s worn yet, so this four piece set is almost an adult outfit which makes it a little too much for me to handle!

A final foxy piece isn’t one that I actually own but is the item that actually started my foxy obsession after seeing on Instagram. Tobias and the Bear’s ‘Just Call Me Fox’ leggings are a brilliant geometric fox print and would look fab worn with a white or black vest.

  1. I don’t live in the UK, but my family does. They love sending clothes over for my son. I’m about to have baby number 2 and will definitely be asking them to check out all of the above stores for the new arrival. The clothes you got your Max look adorable! Thanks for sharing!
